Thank you for visiting EastSussexCeremonies.co.uk.
I am Lesley Arnold-Hopkins, an independent celebrant who conducts Funerals, Weddings, Namings and other ceremonies in the Hastings, Rother, Eastbourne and Wealden areas of East Sussex.
The old cliché “there’s no such thing as bog-standard” is true, when it comes to ceremonies. We are all unique, and so the rituals and ceremonies that we use to mark significant events in our lives deserve to be individually considered and prepared.
Of course, many traditional words and actions have strong meaning for people and these can be incorporated, but each ceremony is created from scratch, after full consultation with the families involved and with their ongoing co-operation.
My approach is straight-forward but I aim to add warmth and, where appropriate, humour to the ceremonies that I write and deliver. Whether we are sharing the joy of a naming or a wedding or reflecting on the achievements of a life now ended, it’s the people who matter and they are the focus.
All of life’s significant events can be marked. We take the occasion that is important to you and we build the ceremony around it.
A former ceremonies trainer for the British Humanist Association, I have been a celebrant for many years and have conducted hundreds of ceremonies including funerals, memorials, naming ceremonies, weddings, renewal of vows and coming of age.
If you would like to ask any questions about the ceremonies that I conduct, or would like to discuss ideas, please get in contact.
The way that you personalise your ceremony can go beyond the words itself.
